After winning an academy award, we decided to see Juno. One needs to proceed with caution in viewing this film. Juno is a crude reality check of the challenges and pressures youth experience nowadays. Despite the reality check, Juno paints a positive view of adoption when so many messages degrade the choice to place a child for adoption. We enjoyed the quick whit and abrupt nature of the film. The journey to the decision about adoption was unique. I related to the nervousness the prospective adoptive mother experienced. I hope this film assists in the decision making process for many others in similar situations.
Another Movie about adoption...Bella
Bella is an independent film with tender and vibrant images of culture and the life changing experiences faced by the main characters. It is a story within a story, within a story. This film draws you into the emotions when one of the main characters confronts unplanned pregnancy. One can't help but empathize with the loneliness, anxiety, and uncertainty. This film is a beautiful story about choosing life!
